Pope celebrates Holy Thursday by washing feet
Pope Francis celebrated Holy Thursday this year by washing the feet of 12 young inmates in a juvenile detention center in Rome, including a Muslim from Senegal, as well as young people from Romania, Russia and Croatia.
In Christianity, this ritual commemorates the humility and selfless love of Jesus, who washed the feet of the 12 apostles at the last supper.
