A royal wedding is a marriage ceremony attended by royal family members. Senior royal family members' weddings are frequently regarded as significant state affairs and attract a lot of domestic and international attention.

Over the last centuries, the world has witnessed many unforgettable royal weddings that have been engraved in the memory of history.

Queen Victoria And Prince Albert

According to Historic Royal Palaces, Prince Albert and Queen Victoria were wed on February 10, 1840, at the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace. Queen Victoria fell in love with her cousin Prince Albert during their second meeting in October 1839.

Victoria and her advisors believed it was crucial that every piece of her bridal attire be produced in Britain utilizing British resources. The 5.5-meter court train and the dress were both made from Spitalfields silk satin from London. The garlands of the young queen's headdress matched the orange blossom sprays that adorned the long silk train. Early in the 1800s, the tradition of wearing these flowers for weddings replaced the custom of wearing roses in Britain.
