International Olympic Committee vs France over hijab

Standing defiant against France’s “oppressive” restrictions against Muslims, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has allowed for Muslim athletes to wear hijab in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games village.

French Sports Minister Amelie Oudea-Castera said that French athletes would be barred from wearing a hijab, as it contradicts France’s principle of secularism.
