Making her dream come true, an Egyptian pilot and her daughter became the first non-American mother-daughter pilot duo on the same airplane.

Nevin Darwish and her daughter, Perryhan El Badrawi, became the world’s 0third mother-daughter airline pilot duo to fly together, said Darwish on her Facebook page, expressing her pride in making her dreams come true to pilot alongside her daughter.

“This historic milestone means I will get the rare and special opportunity to accompany my daughter in pioneering the path for more female family duos to enter the aviation field! Welcome Perry to the A330 fleet and can't wait to watch your continued success firsthand,” Darwish said on June 11.

Although some US media reports said that the first-ever mother-daughter duo was US Captain Suzy Garrett and her first officer, her daughter Donna Garrett, who took off on board of a commercial plane of SkyWest Airlines in November 2020, the first duo was Captain Wendy Rexon and her daughter, First Officer Kelly Rexon, when they flew a Delta passenger flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta in March 2019.
